David V Martin Exoplanets

I am an Australian (Aussie) astrophysics Fellow of the Swiss National Science Foundation, hosted by the University of Chicago. I work to discover and understand planets around other stars, which we call exoplanets, and also the stars themselves. I'm particularly interested when there is not just one star but two, and a planet around them called a circumbinary planet. 

I recently finished my PhD and my first post-doc at the University of Geneva.

​Beyond astrophysics... I'm a bit of a sports nut. I played and watched cricket and Australian Football (Aussie Rules) since I was a kid. My most recent love is ice hockey, which I've been playing for over two years now.

I play guitar and drums from time to time, love listening to heavy metal, classic rock and, sometimes for a quiet change, classic piano. Travelling, video games (playing and creating), cooking (sometimes well), science outreach...
